Passive Voice

Passive Voice

The structure of the Passive Voice is: Object (which pass to be a subject) + to be + past participle (+ agent optional)


Use of the Passive Voice:

  Is used to focus the action or the receptor of the action more than the agent who performs it. It is common when the agent is unknown or irrelevant.

Example:

  - The cake was baked by my mom.

 - The project will be finished next week.
